My 3 Stage Treatment Structure

1) Client Assessment

Your first appointment begins with a relaxed consultation to understand your specific concerns. I listen to what discomfort and problems you have, identify how it feels, where it hurts, and to what extent using some range of motion tests, and we discuss how it is impacting your daily life.

You will be asked about your lifestyle, including your work, exercise habits and general activity levels. This helps build a clearer picture of what may be contributing to your symptoms.

This all allows the treatment to be tailored specifically to your needs.

For returning clients, we will carry out a brief review of your progress and any changes since your last visit, ensuring your treatment remains effective and appropriate.

2) Client Treatment (~50 minutes)

Your treatment will involve a range of sports massage techniques tailored to your specific needs and areas of concern. The aim is to reduce muscle tension, improve movement and circulation, and support your body’s natural recovery process.

Many clients find this part of the session both beneficial and relaxing. At times, some techniques may cause mild discomfort, particularly when working on tight or sensitive areas, but this is completely normal. Pressure is always adapted to your comfort level, and communication is encouraged throughout.

3) Aftercare Recommendations (~15 minutes)

Following your treatment, you will be given personalised advice to help support your recovery and reduce the likelihood of the issue returning.

This may include guidance on stretching, mobility, and small adjustments to daily activities or exercise routines. Where appropriate, recommendations for follow-up sessions will also be discussed.

Sports massage therapy works most effectively as part of a wider approach to improving movement and reducing strain on the body. By combining treatment with simple, practical changes, you can achieve longer-lasting results and improved overall wellbeing.
